Your first class
Come try a class before you commit to anything. Arrive about ten minutes early so an instructor can meet you, show you around and pair you with an experienced partner.
Wear comfortable clothes you can move and roll in, such as sweatpants and a t-shirt, with no zippers or jewelry. We train barefoot on mats.
Your first class is free. Students start at age 14; if you have a younger student in mind, ask us and we'll talk it over.
You'll start with warm-ups and learning how to fall safely, then practice basic techniques with a partner. Go at your own pace; nobody expects you to keep up on day one.
